CUSTOMERS COME FIRST
AT R.D. BOZEMAN & ASSOCIATES
I f you’ve shopped Dallas for home furnishings, chances are you’ve been in the R.D. Bozeman & Associates showroom, where you can nd furniture and home décor design
styles from traditional to transitional to contemporary. Bob Bozeman, owner of R.D. Bozeman, moved from Colorado to open his home furnishings distribution showroom
40 years ago, opening his rst Dallas Market Center showroom in October 1977 on the sixth oor of the World Trade Center. From there, R.D. Bozeman moved to the 12th oor and nally to the 9th oor about 15 years ago. That’s where you can nd his showrooms today—WTC 9069, 9071, 9015 and 9015.A.
The WTC 9015 showrooms house contemporary furniture, a design style Bob originally thought wouldn’t work in Texas. “When I was a rep
in 1976, I saw that contemporary was really beginning to grow and become a larger part
of the market,” Bob said. “Texas will always be traditional, I thought.”
About 10 years ago, R.D. Bozeman opened that contemporary home furnishings showroom, as he realized even Texas buyers were
looking for this aesthetic. “Contemporary trends have gained momentum, such as Mid-century Modern,” he continued. “There are sub-categories to contemporary that are very important. A lot of young people are gravitating toward the late 1950s, early 1960s furniture styling.”
