The 2nd Annual Gourmet Gold Housewares Awards, sponsored by Gourmet Insider magazine, will honor the best manufacturers in housewares on Thursday, January 18 in the Trade Mart at Dallas Market Center at 6:00 PM. Winners will be revealed during
an awards ceremony and cocktail reception, during the Total Housewares & Gourmet Market, January 17-23, 2018.
The Dallas Gourmet Gold Housewares Awards acknowledges extraordinary manufacturers in the housewares industry currently exhibiting at Dallas Market Center. Over the years, Dallas Market Center’s housewares presence has grown and improved dramatically, now o ering more than 300 housewares product lines showcased throughout the campus, along with the Housewares neighborhood in the Trade Mart.
The Gourmet Gold Housewares Awards are presented in eight categories including a special award, Best in Class, that will be selected from among the category winners.
The January 2018 award categories are:

• Kitchen Electrics
• Kitchen Tools & Gadgets • Tabletop/Serveware
• Cutlery
• Barware
• Kitchen Textiles
• Beverageware

GC BUYING GROUP
Gourmet Catalog Buying Group is taking up permanent residence at the Dallas Market Center Trade Mart, right in the heart of its core business: kitchenware, housewares and gift.
GC Buying Group serves gourmet kitchenware retailers, consisting of more than 350 stores across the country. Members get the bene t of discounts, dating, business consultation, marketing and networking events through an exclusive relationship with Gourmet Catalog. Membership is open to kitchenware retailers, as well as retailers interested in adding the category. The company also provides training, information and the resources necessary to help retailer members improve sales while maintaining autonomy. GC Buying Group
will make its debut at the Total Home & Gift Market, January 17-23, in showroom TM 2741.
“Creating a Dallas Market Center presence will help us serve more members with special programming and bene ts,” said Janis Johnson, founder and president of GC Buying Group Inc. “We’re working at top speed to get ready for events in January. We look forward to being in Dallas.”
The new DMC showroom o ers convenience for GC and its retail stores all year around. Being Dallas-based themselves, the new DMC showroom gives the company  exibility to meet
with retailers and vendors outside of market dates as well as during markets, “in an environment where they would actually be buying product,” said Karen Chandler, GC special project coordinator. With retail members all over the country, Dallas also works well in terms of geographical location, added Johnson.
